Water Safety Instructor

We help grow the numbers of BIPOC Lifeguards and Swim Instructors by co-sponsoring Water Safety Instructor classes with local Ys and community organizations.

Get on our email list to hear when and where the next WSI Training happens.

Are you ready to make a splash and embrace the world of the water? Safe2Swim is dedicated to providing water safety education and access to local swim classes within the BIPOC community for both Children and Adults. Dive into creating a new relationship between you and the water!

BIPOC Get Togethers

One of the most impactful additions to our Wellness Toolkit as Mainers of Color are creating opportunities to connect, talk, laugh, network, share a meal and just enjoy being together. The impact on our wellness feels immeasurable. Subscribe and we'll keep you posted.

Juneteenth Downeast

Juneteenth Downeast exists to give people of the African diaspora a place to connect, and opportunities to replenish that which was taken away. Whether through connection to the land, to water, to resources or to each other. May we find through this commemoration ways to be true to Ourselves, our History, and our Heritage. May we find ways to nourish who we are amidst that which is the best of us.

The Juneteenth Commemoration on June 19th, Weekend on the Water and other programming organized by Juneteenth Downeast are only possible because of the amazing volunteer efforts by community organizations and a vital network of individuals who, by their input, affirm that this work is important.

Join us by sharing your time, energy and creativity!
